Dr. Otha L. Everett

Dr. Otha L. Everett, Ed.D., CRC,  CVE  MHP, is an accomplished educator, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Mental Health Professional, and community leader with more than 25 years of experience spanning higher education, rehabilitation counseling, workforce development, mental health services, and pastoral leadership. He possesses extensive expertise in teaching, curriculum development, online instruction, vocational evaluation, case management, counseling, program administration, and leadership development.

As an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Counseling at Fort Valley State University, Dr. Everett has successfully taught graduate-level courses, developed online and hybrid curricula, advised students, supervised practicum and internship experiences, and contributed to institutional leadership through committee service and graduate council representation. His academic and professional work has focused on rehabilitation counseling, disability services, workforce readiness, mental health, and the psychosocial adaptation to chronic illness.

As a Certified Vocational Evaluator, Dr. Everett specializes in providing comprehensive, objective evaluations that assess an individual's vocational strengths, functional limitations, transferable skills, employability, and earning capacity. His evaluations are grounded in nationally recognized vocational evaluation standards and supported by clinical expertise, vocational testing, labor market research, and evidence-based practices.

Dr. Everett has worked with  government agencies, employers, healthcare providers, and rehabilitation professionals to deliver reliable vocational opinions that support informed decision-making in workers' compensation, disability claims, personal injury litigation, vocational rehabilitation, and return-to-work planning.

Throughout his career, Dr. Everett has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving individuals with disabilities, youth, families, and underserved populations. His experience includes rehabilitation counseling, vocational assessment, job placement, family counseling, adolescent treatment services, and collaboration with educational, judicial, and social service agencies. He has successfully designed and implemented programs that promote employment, independent living, and community engagement.

In addition to his academic and counseling achievements, Dr. Everett has served as a pastor and community advocate for more than two decades, providing leadership in organizational development, pastoral counseling, grief and marital counseling, strategic planning, budget management, and community outreach initiatives. Recognized for his collaborative leadership style, organizational effectiveness, and dedication to professional excellence, he continues to make meaningful contributions to education, rehabilitation services, faith-based organizations, and community development.

Demettress Johnson-       Office Manager

Demettress Johnson serves as the Office Manager for the Rehab Center, where she plays a vital role in ensuring the daily operations of the organization run smoothly and efficiently. As the first point of contact for many clients, she is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals seeking care and services.

In her role, Demettress is responsible for receiving and processing client referrals, verifying insurance information, managing incoming telephone communications, and coordinating appointment scheduling. She works closely with clients, healthcare providers, counselors, and support staff to ensure that services are delivered in a timely and organized manner.

Known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and compassionate approach, Demettress helps streamline administrative processes while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with organizational standards. Her commitment to excellence helps ensure that clients receive the support they need from their very first interaction with the Rehab Center.
